Creating this dress was fully inspired by Glinda after seeing Wicked. Ever since I saw her descend in that shimmering bubble, I was captivated.

Drawing on that inspiration, I set out to design a custom gown that captured the magical essence of her bubbly, radiant charm and grace. I used a vibrant hot pink, deadstock, embellished fabric, reminiscent of Glinda’s iconic color.

For the design, I wanted the skirt to feature cascading tiers of fabric, creating a weightless, floating effect. Every detail, from the plunge neckline, to the long keyhole opening in the back, was crafted to bring the spirit of Glinda's enchanting presence!

The process of creating this gown was extremely fun. For me, it was all about channeling the joy, optimism, and magic that she embodies. Seeing it completed, and knowing it could make someone feel as though they were stepping into their own spotlight, is what makes creating these dresses so unforgettable.
